I must admit – I have never invested in body care before, which is ridiculous considering I have never had a problem with pampering my face with high-quality products.
Well, things are about to change. Allow me to introduce Epzen – an Australian-owned brand that creates body care products that are naturally good for you. Their new BYO H2O Powder to Gel Body Wash is made with high-quality ingredients that don’t strip the skin, including oatmeal to keep your skin moisturised, natural AHA for a gentle exfoliation, and prebiotics to maintain balanced skin.
As an eco-conscious person, I usually gravitate towards sustainable products. So, as you can imagine when I discovered Epzen’s new body wash comes in a reusable aluminium pump bottle with refill sachets – I was stoked. It was also so easy to make, all you have to do is fill the bottle with warm water up to the fill line, pour in the sachet powder, seal it, and give it a good shake. After letting it sit for an hour, give it another shake, and voila – you’re all set to go.
With all that being said, 3 women, including myself, trialled the powder to gel body wash for a week.
Here are our honest thoughts.
Phoebe, in need of some TLC.
Winter is here, and my dry skin has well and truly entered the chat.
Recently, I’ve noticed a huge change to the texture of my skin. I could blame this entirely on the colder weather, but I’m also partly at fault. From start to finish, my shower routine is long. So long, that I find myself skipping steps. So, to uncomplicate things, I’m on the hunt for products that multi-task.
From the cute lilac packaging and the hydrating and exfoliating formula, I was sold on the first, second and third use. I also loved its affordable price point too.
To be honest, I’ve never previously purchased a product that offers a powder-to-gel refill sachet, but even the most inexperienced can conquer this step with ease. The aluminium bottle is a great eco-friendly incentive. No longer do I have to bin a large plastic bottle (side eye to my current face cleanser), but instead I can easily refill the bottle by purchasing another sachet, again and again. It’s a win-win.
My initial takeaway was the coconut cream and vanilla bean scent. After each application, the sweet fragrance has lingered post shower which is exactly what I’m looking for in a body wash. The gel texture also lathers well, which makes the application a dream.
My next criteria when it comes to body wash is that it doesn’t irritate or strip my skin. Thankfully, with this formula I haven’t experienced any irritation – instead my skin has become noticeably more soft and hydrated with a hint of a glow.
For a hydration obsessed girlie, this ticks all my imaginary boxes. I don’t see myself giving this body wash up any time soon.
Alisa, body care amateur.
Currently, my skin is looking a little lacklustre. A combination of the cold weather, hot showers and a poor choice of products is likely to blame – so I was eager to try a body wash that not only moisturises my skin, but also provides a gentle exfoliation.
The first thing that grabbed my attention when opening the packaging was the aluminium bottle. It’s far more stylish than your average plastic body wash and is way better for the environment. When I opened the coconut cream and vanilla bean sachet, I was practically jumping out of my clothes, ready to use it. The scent perfectly captured the heavenly vanilla bean icing you find on top of cupcakes – I am obsessed.
After following the simple steps to create the powder-to-gel formula and chucking on some Netflix whilst the powder and water do their thing, it was time to give it a go. Sure enough, it had turned into a velvety gel that lathered well, and after my shower, my skin felt so lush and soft. After a week of using this product daily, I have noticed my skin looking smoother and more hydrated, especially on my legs which tend to look scaly. It’s safe to say, I will definitely be repurchasing the sachets.

When I tell you that I’ve seen Epzen’s iconic purple bottles everywhere, I mean everywhere. From beauty editors to influencers, it seems like everyone’s bathrooms are currently stocked up with these pretty products.
So, when I finally got my hands on the iconic purple packaging – I couldn’t wait to hop in the shower that night.
I go through a multitude of plastic bottled shower gels each year, which is why the reusable aluminum bottle really appealed to me. Tipping in the coconut cream and vanilla bean scented powder (which honestly already smelt damn delightful) and giving it a good shake for a mere 15 seconds, not only had me feeling like some kind of bathroom mixologist, but I knew I was helping to save the planet (not all heroes wear capes but they are squeaky clean).
An hour later, I was ready to get hot and steamy with my new purple bottle. Packing a punch that I normally only get with a bar of soap, this body wash was more than just a pretty face. With those precious AHAs giving a light exfoliation – I felt a whole new level of *showered* and it’s become a part of my evening routine ever since.
